After a brief run earlier this year, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back with an encore that lasts until Dec. 2. Hailed as an extensive collection of mapping tools developed by ProFantasy Software throughout their history, the complete package carries a value of more than thirteen hundred dollars. And there are three different bundles offered in this deal.
The standout feature is definitely a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, a professional-grade mapping application which enables users to create everything from fantasy overworld maps, smaller regional maps, urban layouts, and most notably, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.
An imaginative landscape chart created using the CC3+ software platform.
The most affordable option, at a minimum cost of $1, features merely four of the 39 total items: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Monster Token Pack 1, Castle Source Maps, and Source Maps: Cities!. This package suits cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for landscape mapping, more than 750 monster tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, over twenty-five top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight fully mapped cities, and more than 70 urban floorplans.
The eight-product collection for at least $15 offers enhanced value by adding in permanent CC3+ access, the first Annual volume, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. The Annual represents the annual collection from the company's long-running monthly subscription service which includes a variety CC3+ add-ons including map packs and various other tools. The Isometric Cities enables present urban areas in 3D perspective using angled views from multiple angles. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, full of tips and tutorials for the map-making process.
Starting at thirty dollars, the comprehensive package includes all the following:
All 17 volumes from the Annual series are included here, plus numerous additional tools and content that can help users craft complete solar systems, or focus exclusively on traditional fantasy world-building: battle maps, underground complexes, cities, and continents in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character portraits. For $30 as opposed to $15, the full bundle is so worth it, particularly for mappers with temporary CC3+ access seeking permanent licensing. However, it's clearly an even better deal for cartography beginners since it includes introductory guides to facilitate learning. The sole limitation is that while you can redeem the deal across platforms, the software is only usable on Windows.
Similar to previous bundles, part of every purchase goes to benefit a nonprofit. For this one, the beneficiary is Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response. Package customization options is toward the top of the page, but you can also select their donation amount in the right-hand section. There's also an donation allocation menu immediately below, enabling adjustment of how much of your donation allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
