A number of civilians were hurt while residents in the city's east were left without electricity and dealt with interruptions to water supplies, according to city officials.

At the same time, a young boy was killed in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, based on information from local officials.

Russian forces has increased attacks on electrical systems over recent weeks, while officials has demanded "substantial measures" from international partners to apply pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the America, the EU and the G7 - in delivering protection systems and enforcing sanctions," was stated in a social media post.

Officials stated that 450 drones and several dozen missiles attacked the country's power systems, labeling such assaults as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were working to restore power.
